It’s been another hairy day over here.
It started normally, by getting up with the chickens (aka 5 am) downing some coffee and making it to the park by 5:30 to pound out some predawn miles.
4.5, to be exact and then home for some greens.
In the mix:
- spinach
- dandelion tea (new ingredient!)
- ice
- chocolate protein powder
- frozen banana
I must say the dandelion tea was a last minute, but welcome addition. It added a good flavor to the green monster mess. And dandelion tea is so good for you too.
I hopped on to work, so I could be there early cuz I had a hair appointment (told you it was a hairy day) at lunch, and I needed to get in some extra time.
So work, work, work like a busy little bee until lunchtime.
Desk salad, that was not eaten at the desk.
Instead I consumed this little guy on the way to my hurr appointment.
- curly lettuce
- spinach
- black beans
- corn salsa
- blue chips
Yum!
So my hair appointment took approximately two hours, because I needed color. It was worth it, trust me. My roots were getting to the white trash level.
When I finally got back to the office I consumed an apple to get me through the afternoon.
Apple I consumed.
So from there things only grew more hectic. Off to the post office, and back to the office I ran, scurrying like a little mouse.
(So far I have been a bee and a mouse. What next, I wonder?)
Anyway, long story short, the mouse finished her chores and made it home.
Since I didn’t do that breakfast for dinner thing yesterday, I decided it was overdue and oatmeal pancakes had better appear on my plate STAT.
And they did.
Peanut butter oatmeal pancakes with a mashed banana.
Oh my, was this ever what I had been craving. So good.
Unfortunately two pancakes does not do it for me. More like four. I was off to find more sustenance.
Continuing the breakfast theme, I made a baby yogurt margarita.
- TJ’s honey greek yogurt
- apricots
- dates
- pecans
- kashi
- coconut
Hit the spot, and then I was off like a shot!
My feet were looking rough, and I had a pedicure gift certificate burning a hole in my purse.
I tried to take a picture of my newly pedicured feet, but for some reason they looked horribly swollen in photos, and thereby not exactly food blogworthy.
Just know that I have cute pink toenails for the HLS.
After the pedicure, I headed to the mall to meet some cool guys and gals.
Arcena and Jodi!
+
Daniel, Tim and Yoshua!
I think we were bowling.
But apparently I wasn’t.
Arcena was dancing.
Jodi was just looking fierce
and scaring her neighbors.
Never mind, they don’t look very scared.
Tired of failure, she made her way over to where Arcena and I were admiring our shoes.
We did not disappoint, choosing to work it for the camera.
After all that rousing fun, and threatening everyone with my superior bowling skills, I was sad to say goodbye, but alas, lady has to work in the morn.
Also lady was hungry again, and took herself straight home to snack on some unpictured pretzels dipped in peanut butter. Yummy, but unpictured, because they like the newly pedicured feet, were just not blogworthy.
I am about to pass out on the keyboard, so this should wrap up my day.
Oh yes.
My pillow is calling my name.
I heard it.

Well at least your hair is lookin’ fine and can make up for your lack of bowling skillz.
Breakfast for din (BFD) is truly an amazing thing. Your pancakes are exactly what I have been dreaming in my head for days. I was totally thinking of making PB Banana pancakes for my hubby and my anniversary breakfast on Sunday. Okay, now I have to after seeing how yummy yours look.
PS- Love the hair!
Don’t you just love treating yourself with hair/nail appointments?
Take care Whit!
Bowling! I am so bad at it–but it is ALOT of fun. I need to go play sometime soon. It is a good change from always going to see movies with friends.
