Wow, I totally did not expect all the response to my relationships post.
I was so glad to see, as many of you said, that I am not alone.
It seems that so many of us are in the same place in life and relationships and didn’t even know it.
For those of you that were worried though, don’t be. I’m happy. I’m single, and I’m happy. Were the right guy to come along, sure I’d probably be happier. But I’m not desperate. And I am certainly not going to marry the next guy to come along, just cause he’s there. In fact, I am most certain to do just the opposite. 100% of the reason I am single is because I am waiting. I’m waiting for that one guy that makes all my problems go away. The one guy, that when I’m with him, all my problems seem small. The one guy that completes me. Even though I thought my life was complete, he fills that little spot that I didn’t even know was empty.
And I’m okay with that.
I’ll wait forever for that guy.
Mr. Right.
For now, I’ll focus on eating apples and pb.
Honeycrisp apples and creamy pb.
And I’ll focus on church.
I’ll keep going to CharlotteONE and meet new friends. I’ll go to dinner with these friends afterward and get to know them better.
I’ll order a salad and not take a picture of it. Because let’s be honest, I don’t know them well enough yet to start taking pictures of my food in front of them.
It’s ok.
I’ll come home and draw you a picture of my salad.

I never claimed to be an artist.
I just like to eat.
I like to eat salads from Rock Bottom.
Salads called Hummus and Goat Cheese.
Oh dear.
I guess I forgot to draw the goat cheese.
On that note I am going to bed.
Because it’s late.
And I am tired.
And feel like I got beaten soundly with a baseball bat all over my upper body, thanks to my strength training yesterday.

Oh, good! That’s the right attitude. Yea it can be a bummer when you’re single, but it’d be worse when you’re with the wrong guy. And I think your salad is gorgeous

I love your outlook on guys!! I was seeing someone for a while, and single and totally tried to have that same attitude….and it is so true….you can’t LOOK for guys. They will come to you at the right time. I randomly met my current boyfriend, and I am so suprised he came into my life as he did! And happy, of course. I just NEVER THOUGHT it would happen as soon as it did.

And hurray for apples and PB. Sometimes I feel like PB is underrated in the blogworld! Everyone is all about the AB, but PB is by far superior in my honest opnion!!

Great attitude about the boy situation… or lack of situation. You are so right to keep waiting until the right guy comes along. You will save yourself the heartache that too many people have to go through by settling for the wrong person just because they don’t want to be alone! Gosh you are so smart!

I didn’t get a chance to comment on your relationship post earlier, but obviously I’m in the same boat. I’m 26 and have been single for 2 years now… minus a one months stint at the beginning of the year where I was “kind of dating” a guy. lol I have a lot of friends who are married and quite a few who still aren’t.
I’m not desperate either though. I’m happy with my situation, it gives me more time to focus on being me and discovering who I really am as a person, and accomplishing the goals I’ve set for myself. But yeah… I know Mr. Right is hiding out there.

My friends and i were JUST having this convo at dinner the previous night- about how we feel abnormal and like we are missing out, I believe the phrase, “I can count the number of dates i’ve been on with one hand” was uttered by several people…and honestly it was just so depressing!
I would like to think it’s because we are young, independent and strong women with impeccably high standards ;D Mr. right is totally out there, probably wondering where the heyll u are! haha we’ll get em whit!!

I don’t blame you for waiting! In my world a person should only get married once. I’m Catholic and divorce for us i just not an option. Luckily I found the perfect man for me and we are extremely happy, but you only get one shot so better make sure he’s a keeper

I’m with you 150% about Mr.Right. I’m 23, I’ve had ONE boyfriend about 2.5 years ago for about 8 months and I didn’t even really meet meet him because he was my brother’s best friend. fail. he was a major fail too. Our relationship ruined my family relationship for a while. fail fail fail and more fail haha.
We’re good catches. And Mr. Right may not be right now but he’s there somewhere and he’ll take the picture of your pb & apples for you
